Rhodesians Worldwide® is a contact magazine produced for Rhodesians, by Rhodesians about Rhodesians. It can be found in 35 countries, including Zimbabwe!

Rhodesians Worldwide® was started 39 years ago by Geoff Hill in Australia and it quickly grew into a substantial contact magazine aimed at the Rhodesian Diaspora. Geoff handed the editorship of Rhodesians Worldwide® over to Peter and Julia Hagelthorn, and they ran the magazine very successfully for 12 years from their home in England.

Peter and Julia decided in 1998 that the time had come to reclaim their family lives; so the editorship was trans-located across the Atlantic to the United States, where Chris and Annette Whitehead assumed responsibility for the magazine starting with the first edition published in 1999.

Chris is originally from the Mount Darwin farming community where his parents lived from his birth until 1979. He attended Selborne Routledge Junior School and then Churchill Boys High where he was always involved heavily in school life as a public speaker and a debater. In 1980 his parents left to live in Cape Town and he completed his schooling at S.A.C.S. High School in Newlands. In 1982 he was a Rotary Exchange student in Iowa, USA where he met Annette. From 1983 until 1986 he attended UCT in Rondebosch where he earned a Bachelors degree. In 1986 he returned to the United States and he and Annette were married. They now live in the southwestern USA with their children, enjoying the outdoors climate. They are both retired educators, a profession that kept them both very busy for thirty years. They are both active in the Episcopal Church (Anglican) and Chris has completed his Masters degree in Educational Leadership, he was very active in getting his students involved in service activities helping their communities.

Rhodesians Worldwide has been published successfully now for over three decades standing the test of time. We estimate that each issue is read by about 30 000 people. Yet, of this number, no more than 3% are subscribers to the magazine. Chris and Annette need your support as subscribers.

Four issues are published each year and have been published for the past 38 years; and a typical issue contains:

*a feature story with photographs

*selected news stories from Zimbabwe

*articles on how fellow Rhodesians are getting along overseas

*contact details for friends and family across the world

*advertisements and classified ads for those hard-to-find items

*personal classifieds (which are carried free, within reason)

*births, death and in-memoriam notices (also carried free of charge)

We hope that you will consider becoming a subscriber to Rhodesians Worldwide®, and so help us to improve communication between all people with an interest in Rhodesians, Zimbabweans and the future of our homeland.

The magazine is published quarterly, deadlines are February 15, May 10, August 15, and November 10. Please confirm these dates with the editors. The magazine is shipped in bulk but it all goes via airmail where possible.
